On April 7, a roundtable discussion dedicated to “World Health Day: Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle” was held at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, organized by the Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy.

The event brought together 4th-year students of the educational program B085 – “Pharmacy,” faculty members, and a special guest — Magzhan Kazibekuly Shamiev, two-time world champion, seven-time Asian champion, and 15-time champion of Kazakhstan in arm wrestling.

The discussion focused on the promotion of healthy living among youth and the role of future pharmacists in fostering a culture of prevention and public health. As a result of the meeting, participants agreed on several key points, including the need for an interdisciplinary approach in education, support for student-led health initiatives, involvement of motivational speakers, and development of informational materials in collaboration with students.

Participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers and the honorary guest for the inspiring message and contribution to promoting healthy lifestyle values within the university.
