Motivational Meeting with a Contract Manufacturing Quality Specialist

On November 4, 2025, a motivational meeting was held at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University for 3rd–4th year Pharmacy School students with E.E. Izteleuova, Contract Manufacturing Quality Supervisor at Danone. The topic of the meeting was “From Laboratory to Tablet: Technology and Quality of Solid Dosage Forms.”

During the event, E.E. Izteleuova highlighted the importance of comprehensively understanding the full manufacturing cycle of a medicinal product — from the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) to the finished dosage form. She emphasized that the final product’s quality is shaped at every technological stage. This approach allows future specialists to better understand the interconnection of production parameters, the impact of raw materials on the efficacy and safety of medicines, and the necessity of monitoring critical process points.

A separate part of the discussion focused on the differences between academic technology and real industrial production. E.E. Izteleuova pointed out that working at a manufacturing facility requires:

* strict adherence to regulations and GMP standards,

* thorough documentation of each batch to ensure full traceability,

* risk and deviation analysis as an integral part of the quality system.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about tableting technology, standardization aspects, and modern quality control methods. The motivational meeting helped them expand their professional perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
