As part of the celebration of Nauryz Meyrami and the implementation of the “Nauryznama” program, on March 16 – the third day dedicated to culture and national traditions, the Department of Pharmacognosy with the course of Botany organized board games for students in the hall of the 2nd academic building.

Students were offered the traditional Kazakh intellectual game Toguzkumalak (9 kumalak) and classical chess. The event was aimed at enabling students to spend their free time from classes in an interesting and beneficial way, developing logical thinking and communication skills.

Purpose of the event:

– promotion of national cultural values and traditional games;

– formation of students’ interest in intellectual leisure;

– creation of a favorable educational and upbringing environment.

Objectives:

– introducing students to national heritage through the game of toguzkumalak;

– development of logical thinking, strategic planning, and attentiveness;

– organization of meaningful leisure for students during and outside of study time;

– strengthening interpersonal communication and teamwork among students.

Conducting such events contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage and strengthens young people’s interest in national traditions.
