On May 29, 2025, a scientific conference titled “Shipagerlik Bayan – The Theoretical Foundation of Kazakh Medicine” was held at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov in Almaty.
The event was co-organized by the School of Pharmacy, the Department of Organization, Management, Economics and Clinical Pharmacy, the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Öteyboydaq” Foundation, and the pharmaceutical company ALMATY MED-PHARM GROUP LTD.
Moderator of the conference: Nurdaulet Zhumabayev, Chief Academic Researcher at the Center for Life and Health Sciences under the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan.
The conference brought together prominent scholars, physicians, researchers of traditional medicine, and representatives of the scientific community.
Participants extensively discussed the theoretical and practical value of the unique medical work “Shipagerlik Bayan” by the great 15th-century scholar Öteyboydaq Tileukabyluly, and its role as a cornerstone of Kazakh traditional medicine.
