Innovations in Phytopharmacy
On March 2, 2026, as part of the industrial practice for 3rd-year students, a special lecture was delivered by the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor G.O. Ustenova.
Lecture Topic:
“Modern Technologies of Herbal Medicinal Substances and Medicines”
The lecture covered the following areas:
- Global trends in the development of modern phytopharmacy;
- Specific requirements for obtaining high-quality herbal substances;
- Innovative technologies for creating medicinal plant-based drugs;
- Standardization, quality control, and safety of herbal medicinal products.
The session included a video demonstration illustrating the technological extraction process from medicinal plants. Students gained deep insights into the prospects of using natural raw materials in the modern pharmaceutical industry and scientific research.
