On May 28, 2025, a workshop titled “Application of Statistical Methods for Experimental Design within the Quality by Design (QbD) Framework” was held at Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm LLP. This event was organized as part of the practice-oriented educational approach for master’s and doctoral students of the School of Pharmacy at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University and marked an essential element of the university’s strategic partnership with one of Kazakhstan’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
The workshop was led by Ridvanov Chakho Ibragimovich, Head of Planning and Operational Efficiency at Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm LLP, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt specialist. Participants gained practical knowledge and skills in applying statistical tools for the design and analysis of experiments based on the QbD concept, using lozenge formulation as a case study. Special emphasis was placed on optimizing the composition and production technology of lozenges, addressing current challenges in pharmaceutical development to enhance final product quality.
Such educational initiatives reinforce collaboration between academia and industry, promote the development of professional competencies among future specialists in pharmaceutical development, and enhance their competitiveness in the modern pharmaceutical market.
