В рамках меморандума заключённого между Казахским Национальным Медицинским университетом имени С.Д. Асфендиярова и Ташкентским фармацевтическим институтом, студенты 3-го курса образовательной программы В085-«Фармация» прошли производственную практику по Фармакогнозии с 13-го мая по 18 мая 2024 г. на базе ТашФармИ, г. Ташкент, Республика Узбекистан.
As part of the memorandum concluded between the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University and the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, 3rd year students of the educational program B085-“Pharmacy” completed practical training of Pharmacognosy from May 13 to May 18, 2024 at TashPharmI, Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Under the leadership of the head of the Department of Pharmacognosy of TashPharmI, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Nodira Takhirovna Farmanova and the assistant of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Botany of Asfendiyarov KazNMU An V.S., students mastered practical skills in collecting and processing medicinal plant materials, identification, morphological description and herbarization of medicinal plants, became familiar with the storage conditions, packaging, labeling and transportation of medicinal plant materials.
On the first day of practice, students were familiarized with the schedule, purpose and objectives of practice, rules for keeping a diary and safety precautions when working with medicinal plant materials. A tour of the department and institute was held, employees of the Department of Pharmacognosy of TashPharmI held an introductory conversation and introduced students to the educational process, materials and textbooks of the department. On the second day of practice, students, after laboratory classes conducted by Associate Professor D.K. Pulatova, visited the State Museum of Timurid History for cultural education. Link to TashFarmI website: https://pharmi.uz/showblog/1136
On the third day of practice, the Department of Pharmacognosy of TashPharmI organized a trip to the city of Samarkand, accompanied by the head of the Department of Pharmacognosy N.T. Farmanova. and staff of the department, along the way the students got acquainted with the medicinal plants of the region, identified medicinal plants, collected herbarium specimens, and then got acquainted with the sights of the historical city of Samarkand.
On the fourth day of practice, the students made a trip to the plantation site of the Tashkent State Agrarian University together with employees of the Department of Pharmacognosy of TashPharmI. Students were familiarized with cultivation and introduction, growing methods, and the basis of the procurement process of medicinal plants (rules of collection, drying of primary processing, etc.).
On the fifth day, students were organized an excursion to the “Scientific Laboratory of Innovative Pharmaceutical Compounds”, and also took a trip to the Tashkent Botanical Garden named after F.N. Rusanova.
On the sixth day of practice, the students successfully passed a differentiated test and practice diaries at the Department of Pharmacognosy of TashPharmI.
The students thank the management of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, rector K.S. Rizaev, vice-rectors, head of the department of Pharmacognosy Farmanova N.T., and employees of the department of Pharmacognosy for organizing practical training in pharmacognosy.
