In 1992, the brothers Perepelitsa Vladimir and Eugene organized the company “FitOleum” and produced the first industrial release at the Alma-Ata pharmaceutical factory the most famous product of the company’s original medicinal product – “Kyzyl Mai” polyfit oil. They created a unique natural product, an original medicinal preparation – polyphyte oil “Kyzyl Mai”, which continues to be in great demand not only in our country, but also abroad.

Director of the company Olga Vladimirovna Sermukhamedova (daughter of one of the founders of the company Vladimir Perepelitsa) successfully graduated from S.D.Asfendiyarov KazNMU, received a master’s degree and then a PhD degree. O.V. Sermukhamedova continued the work of the dynasty of pharmacists and now leads the company “FitOleum” to new heights of success.

Today the company has grown into a huge production, has implemented international quality standards, conducts scientific research in cooperation with medical universities, among which the leading medical university of the country – Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. The School of Pharmacy of KazNMU is a leading partner of FitOleum and provides it with professional staff. And the company, in turn, organizes scientific and industrial practice of students at its base, production, laboratories. Scientific cooperation between the partners is also developing successfully.

Master classes, training seminars and presentations for KazNMU students are regularly held at the production facilities of FitOleum. The company itself is a platform for practical consolidation of the acquired knowledge, and for many graduates it is the beginning of their career. With the university, FitOleum successfully carries out a number of scientific projects, including international ones. Students of the medical university undergo their practical and diploma training here, while master’s students and PhD-doctoral students have the opportunity to conduct their scientific research at the company.

Professional experience of the company’s employees, including doctors and candidates of pharmaceutical sciences, masters of medicine and pharmacy, as well as modern high-tech equipment allow to develop and conduct scientific research at a new technological level in accordance with modern requirements. Their achievements are pharmaceutical development of new drug substances, original technology, creation of dosage forms based on natural plant and mineral raw materials.

Currently, the products of FitOleum are exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia, Mongolia and Turkey

Today the plant produces about 50 phytopreparations – medicines, nutraceuticals and cosmetics, the quality of which is confirmed by the introduction and effective functioning of the pharmaceutical quality system and international good practices.

The line of well-known products of the company has significantly expanded. Now the pharmaceutical plant produces not only the famous Kyzyl Mai, but also Kyzyl Mai candles and Kyzyl Mai candles with propolis, sea buckthorn candles with Kyzyl Mai, as well as biologically active supplements (oils), cosmetics (turpentine oils, creams-pens, creams).

The pharmaceutical production quality system of FitOleum LLP has been confirmed by GMP certificate four times, which means that the company guarantees the production of high-quality, safe and effective medicinal preparations based on natural raw materials collected in ecologically clean areas of Zailiyskiy Alatau and on its own plantations.

Since 2017, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the company has implemented a full cycle of production of herbal medicines, starting from the cultivation of medicinal plants (cultivation, collection, drying of medicinal plant raw materials) to the finished product in accordance with the requirements of GACP. All processes – from growing and cultivation to processing into a finished product – are carried out by the employees of the company themselves. This is the only pharmaceutical plant in the country that does not depend on raw material suppliers.

One of the important achievements was the results of many years of research work of FitOleum LLP and S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU, which were included in the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia, monograph “Motherwort herb”.

The company “FitOleum” actively participates in international projects, conducts scientific and practical cooperation with the world leaders of pharmaceutical industry, such countries as Austria, Poland, Greece and others.

The company “FitOleum” is a good example of how science, production, education and new technologies have united in a production enterprise and for many years have been providing residents of various countries with quality medical products, which are independently started from the collection of substrate and ending with the introduction into production.
