Lecture on Bioequivalence and Bioavailability for Pharmacy School Students

At the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, an academic mobility program was held from 24 to 28 November 2025 with Associate Professor of the Department of Dosage Forms Technology, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Firuza Umarova, within the discipline “Pharmaceutical Technology.”

As part of the pre-graduation internship for 4th-year students of the School of Pharmacy, on 26 November 2025, Dr. Firuza Umarova delivered a lecture titled “Bioequivalence: basic concepts, study object, determination methods. Bioavailability and its types.”

During the lecture, key aspects of evaluating the bioequivalence of medicinal products, modern approaches to determining bioavailability, as well as the importance of these indicators for ensuring the efficacy and safety of pharmacotherapy, were discussed. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions regarding the application of research methods in pharmaceutical practice.

The event contributed to enhancing the professional knowledge of future specialists and strengthening the connection between the educational process and practical pharmacy.
