“Pharmaceutical Chemistry” and “Pharmacognosy”

Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University invites you to participate in the International Subject Olympiad in the academic disciplines “Pharmaceutical Chemistry” and “Pharmacognosy.”

Purpose: To popularize pharmaceutical knowledge, identify talented and competitive students, and expand their professional horizons in specialized subjects.

Main Objectives:

  • Improving the quality of education and scientific potential;
  • Establishing friendly relations between international universities;
  • Motivating students to master skills within the “Pharmacy” program;
  • Developing social partnerships with universities in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Format: In-person (Almaty, 151 Bogenbai-Batyra St).
Languages: Kazakh, Russian.
Participants: 3rd, 4th, 5th year students (Teams of 5 members).
Jury: PhD, Candidates, or Doctors of Sciences (max. 1 per university).

OLYMPIAD ROUNDS

  1. Round I: Team presentation (video clip up to 10 min).
  2. Round II: Situational problems (3 tasks per subject).
  3. Round III: Testing (80 questions per discipline, 75% threshold).
  4. Round IV: Practical skills (lab tasks in both subjects, 75% threshold).
