Research work of students is one of the important components of higher education, an effective way to improve the quality of training.
Scientific-research work of students is aimed at the formation of students’ skills in research work, development of creative initiative and the ability to apply the achievements of scientific progress in practice, which meets the requirements of training a modern specialist as a researcher (scientist), administrator (manager) and practice.
Participation in research and development contributes to a better mastering of students’ profile disciplines, expanding their scientific and social outlook, teaching them to independently master new ideas, quickly and effectively navigate in the flow of scientific information.
The main objectives of research work of students are:
– improving the quality of training of specialists with higher education, ensuring their relevance in the conditions of pharmaceutical activity;
– formation of skills of creative professional thinking by mastering scientific methods of cognition and research;
– creation and development of conditions that provide an opportunity for each student to realize their right to creative development of personality, participation in scientific research – full, equal and for everyone in accordance with their needs, goals and abilities.
The main tasks of NIRS:
– mastering by students of scientific methods of cognition;
– familiarization of students with methods of scientific research, methods of experimentation and theory of decision making;
– Acquisition of skills of independent solution of scientific and practical problems;
– Acquisition of skills of work in scientific teams, familiarization with the methods of organization of their work;
– fostering in students the need for creativity, self-education, continuous improvement of their knowledge, in-depth and creative mastering of educational material;
– formation of skills and the need for constant work with domestic and foreign literature, the ability to work with the patent fund;
– mastering of modern information technologies and methods of information communication (Internet, e-mail, etc.);
– establishment of close ties of the student’s interests with the scientific and educational direction of the department, strengthening of his/her creative contacts with the teacher in the binary process of education.
Students specializing in the Department of Biotechnology and GXT take an active part in scientific activities. In the competition of scientific works of the School of Pharmacy in March 2023 with reports made 15 students, and Shim Natalia with a report on the analysis of vaccines registered in Kazakhstan, passed to the next stage – the competition of student works of the university.
Teachers of the department are supervisors and consultants of scientific works of students. Often the topics of students’ scientific works are related to the topics of their diploma works.
