From April 14 to 26, as part of the academic mobility program, 17 third-year students from the educational program B085 — “Pharmacy” of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University underwent an introductory internship at the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute.
During the visit, excursions were organized to the Department of Dosage Form Technology and Production Technology, as well as the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
At the Department of Dosage Form Technology, students visited specialized laboratories where they familiarized themselves with the processes of producing various types of dosage forms—tablets, capsules, ointments, suppositories, and solutions. Special attention was given to the stages of the technological process, sanitary-hygienic requirements, and the use of equipment for the production of extemporaneous medications.
At the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, students learned about methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical substances, work with the State Pharmacopoeia, and modern analytical instruments such as spectrophotometers, potentiometers, and titrators.
This internship was an important step in the professional training of future pharmacists, allowing students to practically observe the connection between theoretical knowledge and its application in real production conditions.
