As part of the training of specialists for the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a seminar was held for the 4th-year students of the “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” program at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. The event was organized with the aim of providing in-depth learning for students on the current issues and practical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan.
The seminar was organized by the Department of Organization, Management, and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy with the participation of the President of the “Association for the Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan” Marina Ivanovna Durmanova. Marina Ivanovna delivered a lecture on the topic “State System of Regulation of Medicinal Products Circulation” as part of the pre-graduation internship “Production and Design of Medicinal Products” for the 4th-year students of the “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” program.
The goal and objectives of the pre-graduation practice are to prepare future specialists for the pharmaceutical industry, strengthen their professional competencies, and introduce them to the practical aspects of the industry’s functioning. The practice aims to deepen theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in the field of production and circulation of medicinal products, with a focus on studying quality standards, certification, registration, and analysis of the pharmaceutical market.
In line with the set goals and objectives, the pre-graduation practice provides students with the opportunity not only to study key aspects of medicinal product production but also to apply this knowledge in real-world conditions. The practice helps students master modern approaches to organizing pharmaceutical production and regulating the circulation of medicinal products, contributing to their preparation for a successful career in the developing pharmaceutical market.
During the seminar, the most important issues related to the regulation of the pharmaceutical industry were discussed, such as the regulation of the pharmaceutical industry and the regulation of medicinal products and medical devices circulation.
Furthermore, seminar participants received valuable information about changes in the certification processes for specialists, the development of programs aimed at supporting young professionals, and the role of scientific research in the creation of innovative medicinal products.
Special attention during the seminar was given to important topics such as: • Harmonization of national legislation with international standards; • State support for pharmaceutical enterprises and pricing issues; • Training and certification of personnel for the pharmaceutical industry.
