Boshkaeva Asyl Kenesovna was born on September 28, 1965 in the West Kazakhstan region (Ural region, Dzhambeytinsky district, Dzhosalinsky state farm), in a family of employees. In 1990, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Almaty State Medical Institute (AGMI) with the qualification of a pharmacist. On the recommendation of the Academic Council of the ASMI, on August 1, 1990, she was accepted as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry. In 1993 she was transferred to the position of assistant in the same department, and in 1995 she was transferred to the position of senior lecturer. In 1999, she successfully defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Determination of β-pyridine derivatives of plant and synthetic origin based on the formation reaction of polymethine dyes” (specialty code 15.00.02 – pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy). In 2007, she defended her doctoral dissertation for Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan). By the decision of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 30, 2010, Asyl Kenesovna Boshkaeva was awarded the degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

From 1993 to 2010 – head teacher of the department. Since 2007 – member of the Academic Council and Scientific Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy. For 8 years, she headed the research and development section at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Kazakh National Medical University. S.D. Asfendiyarov. Since 2009, she has participated in 2 scientific projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being the responsible executor: 1) “Theoretical basis for the creation of new compounds of the heterocyclic series based on betalactams that have an antibiotic effect” (2009-2011); 2) “Theoretical basis for the creation of medicines of natural origin from domestic plant materials and clinical and laboratory substantiation of them in the treatment and prevention of dental diseases” (2012-2014). In 2011, she was the scientific director of the intra-university grant project “Clinical and laboratory substantiation of herbal medicines in the treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases and oral mucosa” (2011-2012). Since 2013, she served as Chairman of the Commission on the Problems of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology and Chemistry.

In 2013 Boshkaeva A.K. received a scholarship from the Bolashak International Program.

From 2014 to 2017, she held the position of head of the department of master’s and PhD-doctoral studies at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.

From 2015 to 2019 Boshkaeva A.K. – Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Council for the specialties “Pharmacy” and “Pharmaceutical Production Technology”.
