Students and teachers from S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University attended the New Names concert at the Philharmonic Hall

On 14 February 2026, the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl hosted the concert ‘New Names’, featuring young Kazakh conductors and soloists.

The concert was attended by the dean of the School of Pharmacy of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Professor Sakipova Z.B., the chairman of the Pharmacopoeia Committee of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Professor Tulegenova A.O., department heads, teachers, group curators, students, and master’s students.

The evening was a true celebration of music and inspiration: young talents gave the audience vivid emotions and unforgettable impressions. For future pharmacists, it was a wonderful opportunity to touch the world of art and support a new generation of musicians.

After the concert, teachers, students and master’s students applauded the artists for their wonderful performance. Artistic director and chief conductor K. Omarov thanked the teachers, students and master’s students for their support, flowers and enthusiastic reviews.

Dean of the School of Pharmacy Professor Sakipova Z.B. noted that cultural events play an important role in the education of young students and the cultural development of teachers. Students, master’s students, and doctoral students of the university enjoy attending concerts featuring both classical and national musical works.

It is symbolic that among the audience of the ‘New Names’ concert representing KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, there are many talented young people who may become ‘new names’ in Kazakhstani medicine and pharmacy.
