Pharmacy Lecture Series

On 18–20 November 2025, a series of lectures for Pharmacy students was held at 11:00 in Building №7, Room №4.

During the event, students received comprehensive information on the organization of the pharmaceutical retail sector, the structure and opening requirements of pharmacies, procedures for dispensing medicinal products both over-the-counter and by prescription, as well as the operational specifics of prescription-compounding departments.

Lecture Topics:

  1. Organization and regulation of pharmaceutical retail activities. Principles of pharmacy placement, opening procedures, structure, facilities, and staffing.
  2. General principles of pharmacy operations. Organization of over-the-counter (OTC) dispensing of medicinal products.
  3. Organization and regulation of prescription dispensing. Procedures for receiving prescriptions and dispensing medications. Operation of the prescription-compounding department. Prescription record management.

The lectures were delivered by PhD, Associate Professor Meruert Ilyasovna Tleubaeva and PhD, Associate Professor without academic title Murat Zulpidinovich Ashirov.

The lectures were attended by 3rd–4th year students of the 6B10104 – “Pharmacy” educational program, as well as 1st–2nd year and accelerated-program students of the V085 – “Pharmacy” program.
