April 25, 2024 by the Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy of the School of Pharmacy of KazNMU named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov, in order to stimulate the motivation of students to master knowledge, skills and abilities in the specialty «Pharmacy», the II International Online Olympiad was held on the ZOOM platform in the discipline «Management and Economics of Pharmacy».
13 teams from leading higher education institutions took part: Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan. In particular, the teams «PharmaStrat» and «Pharmacy Cowboys» of the St. Petersburg Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (Russia), the teams «Alan Healers» and «Edelweiss» of the North Ossetian State University named after Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov (Russia), the team «Farmumnitsa» of the Bashkir State University State Medical University (Russia), team «Pharm Defenders» of Samarkand State Medical University (Uzbekistan), teams «Triumph» and «Serotonin» of Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan), teams «Mediators of Happiness» and «Tablet Titans» of the Kazakh-Russian Medical University (Kazakhstan), the «Shining of Mind» team from the Medical University of Karaganda (Kazakhstan), the «Profi-Pharm» team from the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (Kazakhstan), the «Ortus Pharma» team from the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarova (Kazakhstan).
The Olympiad included 3 rounds: Test tasks on the Google platform (2 options of 20 questions each); Solving situational problems on the Zoom platform; Screening of a video clip on the topic “The role of the pharmacist in the healthcare system” (homework lasting no more than 5 minutes).
The students showed excellent theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the discipline «Management and Economics of Pharmacy». The results according to the point system were objectively assessed by the international Commission. According to the decision of the International Commission, the teams took prizes:
