At the level of the School of Pharmacy, from May 27, 2024 to June 21, 2024, thesis defense takes place, which includes several stages:
- Presentation of a report on the topic of the diploma project.
- Presentation of the work.
- Answers to the commission’s questions.
The process takes from 15 to 25 minutes, that will depend on the number of questions.
During the academic year, students undergo pre-defence – rehearsal at all departments of the School of Pharmacy: at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology; at the Department of Engineering Disciplines and Appropriate Practices; at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Botany; at the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology; at the Department of Organisation, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy.
The Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Botany has 74 diploma students.
Based on the results of the pre-defence, corrections will be made in accordance with the comments received.
The final version of the thesis is submitted for defence in a binder. In most cases, minor corrections are allowed after the defence, but in general the thesis should already be completed.
A presentation is shown with the submission of the thesis results. Appendices are an integral part of the diploma research with a full project demonstration.
Diploma defence is the most exciting and responsible moment during the whole period of study at the university.
The works submitted for defence are aimed at solving actual problems on the topic of the diploma project.
The Attestation Commission noted the applied nature of the graduation works and their practical significance. In the process of defence, students demonstrated a set of competences indicating their readiness for professional activity.
