On May 13, the Republican Student Olympiad on the educational program “Technology of Pharmaceutical Production” was held at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to improve the quality of education, develop the scientific potential of students, establish friendly ties between universities, stimulate and motivate students to master knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as develop social partnership between enterprises of the pharmaceutical industry and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main tasks:
– improving the quality of education and the scientific potential of students;
– stimulation and motivation of students to study;
– development of joint research projects and startups;
– development of cooperation between universities and the pharmaceutical
industry.
The Olympiad was held for 3-4 year students under the educational program “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” in the online format in the discipline “Pharmaceutical Biotechnology” in Kazakh and Russian.
The Olympiad was held in 3 stages:
Stage I – testing (60 questions);
Stage II – solution of situational tasks;
Stage III – protection of scientific projects (presentation).
The participants of the Republican Olympiad in the OP “Technology of Pharmaceutical Production” were greeted by the Dean of the School of Pharmacy of NAO KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Sakipova Z.B.
The jury members had a very difficult task. The participants of the Olympiad showed good knowledge, erudition, ingenuity, originality. It was difficult to determine the winners, since the results were very close, students and teams shared a few points.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the winner was the Phoenix team, representing the NAO Karaganda National Research University named after academician E.A. Buketov. The second place was shared by the teams
“ThiaGen” (NAO Karaganda National Research University named after academician E.A. Buketov) and “Anti-Proteins” (South Kazakhstan Medical Academy). In third place are the Symbiotics teams (NAO KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov) and Biogen (South Kazakhstan Medical Academy).
Participants of the Olympiad thank the organizing committee of the Olympiad and the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov for organizing and holding the Olympiad.
